This space on the site is dedicated to members of the committee, or the society in general, who have made an impact on the organisation. We all hope that the UEA Poker Soc will continue to grow, and it is due to the efforts of the people below that is is such a huge success today!

Adam Rivers
All though the University of East Anglia Poker Soc existed before Adam became president in 2007, it had almost died out completely with no activity for some time, and not even an appearance at SocMart. Adam changed this and through an enormous amount of work and dedication managed to completely reform the society making it into one of the best of its type in the country, and one of the most active societies within the whole of the University.
In just under 2 years, he transformed it into a poker society with weekly multi-table tournaments, cash games and special events. Putting on with the help of the social secretary a much enjoyed trip to the local casino and dog track at Great Yarmouth, and building up a team of committee members to help develop the society further.
Not only did he do all that, he also managed to through his work for Life of Sports, and the University Poker Championship, get the society a truck load of Full Tilt Poker merchandise, including tee-shirts, chip sets, hats, cards, hoodies, and countless other items, filling his parents hallway from floor to ceiling!
He then led the UEA team to a outstanding victory at the Bet365, poker player magazine Student poker final at London, winning the 5 players $2,500! a table, chip sets, clothes, and a feature in the national magazine! (The article will be posted as soon as the May issue comes through my door!)
All though he is staying at UEA for one more year, he has passed the torch to Owe, who I'm sure will follow on from where Adam left off!

Joe Boyle
Joe was treasurer last year, and always a regular at the tournaments. A great source of banter, and produced many sick reads... More info coming soon!
